We know that some problems will appear when different power tools including hand power tools and power tools parts are used for a long time. At this time, repairs and maintenance are needed, since careful maintenance can give power tools a longer life. But some problems need to be paid attention in the repair and maintenance of various power tools. In this article, we will tell you how to maintain power tools properly.

1. Workplace

a) Please keep the work area clean and well light, since chaotic and dim work areas can cause accidents.

2. Electric safety

a) The power socket must match the power tools plug. Do not modify the power plug under any circumstances. Do not use any socket with a common ground. Unmodified plugs and suitable sockets can reduce the risk of electric shock.

b) Please avoid physical contact with grounded surfaces, such as pipes, heaters, stoves and refrigerators. If your body is grounded, it will increase the risk of electric shock.

c) Keep the equipment away from rain and damp environment. Water entering the power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.

d) Please do not use the power cord for other purposes, for example, lifting, hanging up tools or pulling out the plug from the socket. Keep the power cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving tool parts. A damaged or entangled power cord increases the risk of electric shock.

e) When you use corded power tools outdoors, please use extension cords that are allowed to be used outdoors. Use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use to reduce the risk of electric shock.

3. Personal safety

a) Please stay awake and focus on work when operating corded or cordless power tools. Do not use power tools when you are tired or under the influence of narcotics, alcohol, or drugs. Any momentary distraction may cause serious injury when using power tools.

b) Please wear personal protective equipment and always wear protective goggles. According to the different power tools, remember to wear different personal protective equipments, such as dust mask, non-slip safety shoes, safety helmets or noise protection earmuffs to reduce the risk of injury.

c) Please avoid opening the device unintentionally. Before inserting the plug into the socket, make sure that the switch is set to the "off" position. When moving power tools with cord, dont pull the cord and plug if the switch is in the "on" position, otherwise, it may cause an accident.

d) Please remove the adjusting screwdriver or wrench before opening the power tool. Tools or wrenches that come into contact with rotating tool parts may cause personal injury.

e) Please don't overestimate yourself. Always take care to stand safely and keep your balance. This ensures that you can better control the power tool in the event of an accident and keep you safe always.
